Strange Tales are an exciting three-piece producing electro-tinged musical curiosities from the darker side of the street, relating baroque cautionary tales of witches, ghosts and lunatics through skewed melodies and scary skipping rhymes. They are made up of Sally Moriarty on vocals/keyboards/drum programming, guitarist Fletcher Stewart and bassist Paul Sloots, veteran of the Crawley music scene that spawned goth idols the Cure. A live review in Artrocker magazine summed them up thus: "This band's odd stories fuck with my mind tonight."
Strange Tales have been gigging in and around London for a couple of years, with dynamic and atmospheric shows belying their minimal line-up, and they are now looking to spread their wings further afield. Their few and elusive recordings are soon to be supplemented by an EP/mini-album which will be available for download in spring 2012.
